For those of you who did not know, I got married on Feb 24th, 2011 to Trevor Farmer.
We had a private ceremony at the Boise Courthouse with my parents, his parents and grandma, and two mutal friends. It was a really nice ceremony, and from there we flew to Arizona for our honeymoon!
They say that the rockier the wedding/honeymoon, the longer your marriage will last. If that's the case, then we're set for the next 50 years!
We seemed to have no luck with hotels - the first hotel we had to call maintenance at least 3 times, and the last morning we were there having breakfast in the hotel restuarant, there was dried ketchup on my spoon. The quickest thing to come was the bill, and by that time we were tired of listening to the "dating" couple next to us trying to impress each other. I can't believe that I've been there before, with all the flirting and telling stories trying to impress the other person.
I've certainly come a long ways! :p
From there, we decided to splurge for the 4th night by staying at what we thought was a "nicer/more expensive" hotel. The Hotel Theodore. I do NOT recommend it.
Driving in, it looked like a really nice place, well-kept grounds. I did notice the sign out front that said $14 for parking, $10 for visitors. Going inside, the lobby was pretty nice, with a restuarant downstairs.
BUT when we got to our hotel room, it was rather small, with plastic furniture. The bathroom door was pretty odd too, with a window! And there was about a 1-2 inch crack all the way around the door..very weird. Don't be fooled by the pictures, it really wasn't that great.
We tried to upgrade to a suite, but the only one they had had two beds, and a couch with a stain. Trevor tried to get refunded so we could go someplace else but with no luck. Come to also find out, you had to pay for internet, and the restuarant in the hotel was going to be closed BOTH days we were there. We were able to get refunded for the second night, and I was MORE then ready to leave the place.
At that point, all we could do was laugh and say "We just can't win!".
The best hotel strangley enough, was our LAST hotel which also happend to be the cheapest.
Besides all the "fun drama" with the hotels, we still had a good time :) The weather was very nice, got even better after we flew back to Idaho! Although, one of the nights we were there it got really cold really fast, and we got a rainstorm. But the rest of the time was blue, sunny skies :)
We took pictures with the cactus and I made sure to keep my distance ;)
Beautiful scenery :)
We also went mini golfing, which I of course won ;)
We also went to the zoo which is 2 1/2 miles long, and we ended up walking the entire thing. :)
Unfortunately you had to pay extra to really see the Monkeys, the Koala Bears were sleeping, and my battery died on my camera for me to be able to take a lot of pictures :/
But we still had a good time :)
This will probably be the ONLY time you see my take a picture of my food, but we ate at this really good organic italian place and I couldn't resist ;)
All in all, we had a good time :)
It may have been rough at times, but I wouldn't trade those memories for anything!
